Welcome to Oak Hill Elementary School’s web page.  We’re very excited about this new school year. We will strive to achieve great gains this year by focusing on the three C’s: Capacity, Collaboration, and Comprehension. We’d like to acknowledge our hard working staff. Also, we would like to welcome our new staff members Krystyna Maiorano (4th grade), Dani Fazio (3rd Grade), Elizabeth Santana (1st Grade), Jackie Barnhill (Kindergarten), Joe Villa (Kindergarten), and MaryLou Stines (Kindergarten).

Oak Hill’s PTA and Volunteer Organization is always seeking volunteers for their many activities throughout the school year.  We have a Tuesday morning volunteer club, OASIS Reading tutors, Community Service classes from Orange Glen High School, and individual classroom volunteers who offer valuable time in various classrooms.  Please consider becoming a part of our PTA and volunteer some time at our school.

Dr. Clifford Smith, Principal

Our Back-to-School Night was held on September 4th.  We held a Community Resource Fair at the same time.  Students met their teachers and became familiar with the school, while parents visited with teachers and the various information tables set up on campus with a multitude of community resources available to families in our area.  Thanks to all the families who came.

The Otter Den computer lab is open and working. We have a lab of 40 computers and classes spend time weekly in the lab working on a variety of projects. This year, we are implementing even more technology-based lessons so children will learn about the importance of technology in our lives while practicing grade level skills in a fun and engaging way.

Be sure to check the district calendar for important dates for student assessments, programs, community involvement and school/district news.  We’ll also keep you informed through our School News, Otter Outlook newsletter, and telephone calling system.  If you have any questions about your child’s education, please contact your child’s teacher or feel free to check with Mrs. Zender (Assistant Principal) or me.
