The experiences children have during the first five years of life are critical for proper brain development and to establish a foundation for future learning. Healthy children who are emotionally secure, and who have a wide variety of stimulating early learning experiences, have the best opportunity to be successful in school and later in life. First Years Escondido believes that parents are their child’s first and most important teacher(s). By supporting and working in partnership with families and the community, Escondido Union School District strives to ensure young children have all the opportunities they need to be successful learners upon entering kindergarten.
