Lessons

Below are ETT Lessons that are available on your server at school. They are also on the Internet at the links below. The initial number indicates the grade level it was written for, but often the lessons can be used effectively by higher grades.

6th Grade:

• Literary Analysis - An interesting lesson that uses technology to help explore literary selections.
• Making a Bibliography on the Internet - Regardless of the resource, learn how to cite it correctly on Noodlebib.com. An excellent resource when making bibliographies for any subject.
• Book Presentation - A book report kids will actually want to do because it's done with iMovie. In addition to all of the regular documentation, there are some iMovie how-to PDF's included.
• Visual Vocabulary - Use iMovie, a digital camera, and AlphaSmarts to create a class movie which visually defines vocabulary. In addition to all of the regular documentation, there are some iMovie how-to PDF's included.

7th Grade:

• Character Analysis - Students create Slideshow Presentations as they explore aspects of character analysis through books they've read in class.
• What an Imagination - Students research great inventors and the characterisitics that make them creators.

8th Grade:

• Flowers for Algernon - Students explore the prejudices faced by handicapped persons and share their findings through HyperStudio Presentations.
• The Outsiders - Students create a word processing document in AppleWorks as they collect data and think.
