When preparing photos for a web page or to email, it is a good idea to decrease the file size and thus how long the page takes to load. This can be done in a couple of ways.
With iPhoto (free with OSX) you can change the physical size of the photo by Exporting it.
Using Photoshop Elements (available on the Teacher Computer at each site) you can also "Save for web." This allows you to decrease the quality slightly, but usually unnoticeably.
