Self-Improvement: ÊTo make yourself better by taking positive actions.

As our students complete their academic testing period, consider taking time to review student progress in the area of self-improvement/personal growth. Ê

To do this, ask your students/children to identify some of the positive actions and activities that they participated in over the past year. ÊPrompt them to share how they felt when participating in these actions/activities. ÊDiscuss what they learned and how they changed from these positive actions/activities? Celebrate their positive actions/activities and encourage them to continue on their path towards self-improvement by finding ways to impact others.

Of course, the Positive Action Program is not only for your students/children. ÊMy hope is that you also engaged in positive actions/activities on a regular basis this year.

Share how you felt while participating in these positive actions/activities with your children or students. ÊReflect on how you were impacted/changed as a result of these positive experiences. When we spread kindness, help others, volunteer, share, donate, or teach (examples of positive actions), it is impossible NOT to learn, grow, and become better people in the process!
