Welcome to the 2009-10 school year! My name is Trent Smith and I will be taking over as the new Principal of Hidden Valley Middle School. Prior to becoming an administrator, I was a middle school teacher in the District for 12 years and a middle school Assistant Principal for 2 years. In that time, I have learned a great deal about middle school students and what they need to be successful.
I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to work with you and your children this upcoming year. HVMS is a very special place with an amazing group of dedicated teachers and support staff. We will continue our focus on Reading Comprehension and work together as a Professional Learning Community, consistently collaborating to ensure the best possible instructional programs for our students.
My goal is to continue the HVMS tradition of providing a safe and welcoming learning environment where students are always supported in reaching their fullest potential.
I encourage all of you to become active members in your child’s education. A strong school/parent partnership equals success for students.
