Professional Development

EUSD believes educators must have opportunities to discuss, reflect upon, practice and hone new methods through professional development opportunities. Research tells us we learn best through active involvement, thinking about new learning, and articulating what we have learned. Professional development activities can help facilitate this learning.

As we collaborate in our professional development activities, we commit ourselves to improving student achievement in a comprehensive educational program. EUSD invites you to participate and engage in an individualized professional development plan. Workshops are designed to be based on individual professional development needs, instructional effectiveness of instructional programs, and on the implementation of new and/or adopted curricular standards-based programs.

Roland Barth states the most powerful form of learning, the most sophisticated form of staff development, comes not from listening to the good works of others but from sharing what we know with others… By reflecting on what we do, by giving it coherence, and by sharing and articulating our craft knowledge, we make meaning, we learn. EUSD invites you to learn with us as we continue to develop as professional educators.

Assessment/Staff Development Coordinator
