Jarrell Jones grew up in the San Diego area and recently relocated to Escondido after living in Nevada for 10 years. He has a number of years of experience working in both music and education. He will be teaching Band and 3rd Grade Music at Central, Felicita, Juniper, Lincoln, North Broadway, and Rock Springs Schools. He will also be teaching 3rd Grade Music at Miller Elementary. Heather Walker, formerly known as Ms. Opdycke, is teaching instrumental band and the third-grade music experience class at Conway, Glen View, Oak Hill, Orange Glen, Pioneer, and Rose. She is also teaching band at Miller School. Mrs. Walker received her degree in music education from Whittier College and is completing her credential through Chapman University. Heather has many years of experience directing choirs of all ages and teaching private piano and voice. This is Heather's second full year with the Escondido Union Elementary School District. She is excited about the year ahead!
