Escondido Union School District's Beginning Teacher

Support and Assessment Academies

BTSA

Purpose:

To create and deliver beginning teacher - centered quality service.

Mission Statement:

The Escondido Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment Academies (BTSA) is part of a statewide network which supports beginning teachers. The projects are jointly sponsored by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and the California State Department of Education.

Escondido's BTSA Project believes a caring, competent and well qualified teacher is the most important ingredient in educational reform. We are here to help develop a self - organizing system, which has at its roots, teachers who promote change through the vision and commitment to their own professional growth and development. This in turn will directly impact our students in a positive way - the reason we are ultimately here.
