  • Individualized in-classroom support from Support Providers.
  • Beginning Teacher Support Academies address an individual's professional development goals in realation to the Californial Standards for the Teaching Profession. Year One and Year Two Academies meet monthly. Location and dates are found in the Professional Development Calendar under New Teacher Assistance.
  • Academy sessions may be used for professional development growth and renewal of a teaching credential.
  • Beginning teachers are paid a stipend of $20.00 per hour for attending the academy sessions.
  • Opportunities for observing in classrooms and conferring with mentor teachers, university specialists, and other beginning teachers.
  • Portfolio training provides the opportunity to document professional growth through the development of a professional teaching portfolio using the CFASST process.
